Hiroshi Manaka, born in Yokohama Japan 1974, is a photographer based in Tokyo. Studied graphic design and got into photography in student years, and set out to be a photographer after graduation. Worked in photo studio for 2 years, and acquired skills through working as an assistant for photographer "Izima Kaoru" for 6 years. After starting independent work from 2004, has been mainly shooting Still Photos for magazines " TOKION", "ROCKS", "DAZED&CONFUSED", and "GQ" , CD jackets, advertising, and catalogs. Also shoots movies for music videos and TV commercials. Aside from his personal activity, he founded graphic/art collective "NAM" with graphic designer "Takayuki Nakazawa" since 2006. Recently, NAM is working world wide, also highly-praised outside of Japan, in western countries.
